  • Lip flips have a high success rate and are most suitable for people who are looking to achieve plumper, fuller lips without having filler injected. Many people feel that when they smile, their upper lip seems to disappear, or that they are showing too much gum when they smile, also known as a gummy smile. These problems can be rectified by injecting neuromodulator into the lips and having a lip flip procedure.

  • Lip flips aren’t permanent; the results are likely to last between eight to twelve weeks. Neuromodulators are fast-acting substances that allow you to change the appearance of your lips quickly. After having a lip flip treatment, you should see results within the first few days and notice a continual improvement during a week after treatment. The full effect is likely to take between ten and fourteen days to occur. Small amounts of neuromodulator are used during a lip flip, and for this reason, the results will disappear over time. When you notice that your lips are no longer as full as they once were, you can have an additional treatment if you want to maintain your results.

  • After getting Botox injections, it's essential to follow some guidelines to ensure the best results and minimize the risk of complications. Here are some common things to avoid after getting Botox:

    1. Touching or Rubbing the Treated Area:

Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area for at least 24 hours. This can help prevent the spread of the toxin to unintended muscles.

    2. Strenuous Exercise:

Refrain from intense physical activities, heavy lifting, or strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Increased blood flow and sweating can potentially spread the Botox to other areas.

    3. Alcohol Consumption:

It's generally advised to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours after getting Botox. Alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and may interfere with the healing process.

    4. Avoiding Blood Thinning Medications and Supplements:

If possible, avoid medications and supplements that thin the blood, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain vitamins (like Vitamin E and fish oil) for a few days before and after treatment. These can increase the risk of bruising.

    5. Heat Exposure:

Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and prolonged sun exposure for 24 hours after the procedure. Heat can increase blood flow and potentially spread the Botox.

    6. Facial Treatments and Massages:

Refrain from facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and facial massages for at least 24 hours post-treatment. These activities can potentially dislodge the Botox from the injection sites.

    7. Makeup Application:

It's best to avoid applying makeup to the treated area immediately after the procedure. Wait at least 4 to 6 hours to allow the Botox to settle.

    8. Wait for Results:

Be patient and wait for the full effects of the Botox to appear. This can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

Always follow the specific post-treatment instructions provided by your healthcare provider or the clinic where you received injections. If you have any concerns or experience unusual symptoms after treatment, contact your provider immediately.

  • Lip filler, also known as dermal fillers, is similar to a lip flip as both these treatments will result in fuller-looking lips. There is, however, a big difference between the procedures. A lip flip treatment will make your lips appear fuller and plumper, whereas a lip filler actually makes the lips fuller. It depends on the results you are after which procedure you choose.

    Lip Flip

A lip flip is a very quick and straightforward procedure that takes about ten or fifteen minutes. During treatment, a small amount of neuromodulator will be used to relax the muscles in your lips. This will allow your upper lip to turn upward, making it appear fuller. In fact, your lip’s volume won’t be increased, the trained injector will use neuromodulator to create the appearance of a plumper lip. A lip flip can be performed on your upper lip as the neuromodulator is injected into the orbicularis oris muscle in the middle of your upper lip, known as the Cupid’s bow. You’ll also have injections laterally toward the corners of your mouth. The lip flip can also be performed on the lower lip if desired.

    Lip Filler

During a lip filler treatment, the trained injector will inject hyaluronic acid filler into your lips to add volume. This substance will add structure to your lips, giving them a plumper, more hydrated appearance. Lip fillers can be injected into your top or bottom lip, or in some patients both, depending on the desired results. Our certified doctor or nurse injector will assess your lips to see how much filler to inject and where to put the injections.
